Is it time to make Xbow season the same ?

2020-2021. Looks to me like the crossbow and muzzleloader hunters are taking a lot of doe meat home.

Maybe they should separate the seasons more. Give Trad/spear September then filter in the compounds in October and the crossbow folks a couple weeks later.

Those “chip shot @ 200 yards” muzzleloaders sure are hard on doe too. Maybe just lump us into gun season since it’s too easy with those staggering numbers.

Or we can just agree the animosity has nothing to do with deer numbers or enjoying the outdoors, just pride. I kill deer with a compound too. Makes feel like a lady but at least it gets me out there and it’s easy.

Since you can "legally " harvest unlimited does in Z1 I would expect the doe harvest to be higher. For the comment about "not liking competition for hunting spots", if you're in my deer hunting spot, your trespassing and will be treated accordingly. In closing, stay where you have permission, follow the laws, and IDGAF!

Let’s just come out and say what is really going here. I hate competition for hunting areas and additional pressure too.

I hunt family owned land that no one hunts but my father brother and my self. I have permission on one small private parcel that no one hunts but me. Competition is of no concern to me.

I’m honest, figured most folks like you were too. Reckon I buy my extra tags like the rest of y’all. Lot of people that are proud of providing for their family, with the way social media is, I’d say they buy their tags, call 1800chkgame, post their pictures.

If anyones poaching you think they have a spotlight mounted on a crossbow or their wheelbow? Doubt they are poaching with either nor a muzzloader. Total not checked? No more than get run over by cars and not reported.

I believe the big buck killed in fort Wright was shot with a crossbow. Only weapon more suitable would be an air bow.

Those aren’t numbers made by the government. The numbers are reported by the people in the state of Kentucky.

So you know a lot of poachers and automatically the good honest sportsmen and women in this great state are all liars and poachers but mostly just the ones with crossbows.

Never have I seen so much biased ignorance by a group of people that literally use the next easiest tool in the toolbox. I can see Trad bow shooters ruffling feathers as a joke but to vehemently hate your fellow outdoorsmen is just sad.

I’m out on this one until somebody takes a kid hunting and remembers what it’s really about.
