Procedure is a bit vague in the fishing guide. What does a scale for "legal trade" look like and where can one be found? When does the state officer need to view the fish? Same day? Is Meldahl covered by the Central Biologist?

Any business that uses a scale that sells by weight must have it certified. Like a grocery store.

I believe the state recently purchased scales and had them certified for each district. So you should be able to find who in your district has the scale and get their contact info. I believe a call to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife would tell you everything you need to know
