I kilt a deer in North Carolina years ago with 00 buck. Very strange feeling shooting a shotgun at a deer.00 buck
I must be missing something. What am I missing? Gotcha, how? And what does that have to do with shotguns? Help me understand.Gotcha!!! 😂😂😜
Can't speak to "normal", but I have a Savage 220 20 gauge and it's a tack driver at 100 yards. I use it at Fort Knox and have killed several at 100 yards. I'm confident it would be capable at 150 yards, but I'm notI'm totally ignorant on a lot of things, but I'm really ignorant on shotguns/slugs. How accurate are they, and what is the effective killing range for a "normal" shotgun/slug combination?

I have a Knight Revolution I used to use at Knox. The fear of it not going BANG kept me from using it. It was plenty accurate, but I've only killed a handful of deer with it. For me, the slug gun is far more accurate (and consistent). Having said that, I never shot my ML past 75 yards and didn't shoot it much. I'm not the best judge for these questions, but just stating what experience I have. I read on hear all the time that with the new technology slugs and Muzzleloaders are good to 200 yards. I can't confirm that from my experience, but I don't doubt it.So much like a ML?
Bow hunters mad about something? It couldn't be...Be alot of mad bow hunters!
But 4 months of shotgun could be fun.

WhyI think I would use a cross bow before I would use a slug gun.
If you look at South Carolina, this is their season. It’s 4.5 months of gun season from August 15 to January 1 lol. No special bow season.Be alot of mad bow hunters!

I just don't think my shoulders can handle a slug gun anymore. They are popping and cracking like slipping gears.
