We had success!!! Josie’s first deer taken with a muzzleloader!! Not just any muzzleloader also. It was her late grandpa Joe’s muzzloader!! He would be very proud of her.

Shot a doe this evening with my bow. By the time I got to her the damn coyotes had made a mess of it. Nothing to salvage.

Shot her at 5:20 and found her around 6:10. They had eaten pretty much both hams and busted the guts all over everything else. Cut part of the back straps out but the gut smell on them was terrible so just through them out.

Never heard of one getting eaten so fast. Either she dropped right next to them or you need to put down the bow and pickup the coyote call.

Well, one of the kids tested positive for flu last night. That would explain why I felt like I was dying trying to hunt Saturday morning and didn’t have the strength to even pack my ml Sunday.
