But...but....I just bought a Ravin

Just kidding. :) My xbow cost all of $125 at Rural King a few years ago.

Hell, Ravin has their own version. Technically has limbs though, I guess.

I never was supportive of the cross bow, was always a poacher weapon to me, we will see the impact a few years down the line, already seeing pics of nice deer killed by crossbows in the large numbers, Cross bow is no different than a 3030 no challenge to pull and fire, was a long time bow hunter in my early days and cross bows should not even follow as any kind of archery

I agree that they're not archery equipment. But in a one buck state, what's it matter?

If you think they are no different than a 30-30 then your knowledge is rather lacking. They are nothing like a high powered rifle. They have limitations very close to a regular modern bow. Sure you don't have to draw back. That's the only advantage. I use them both and like them both. Has nothing to do with poaching. Poaching comes from a person with low morals. We have had xbows around a pretty long time now and we have seen they didn't destroy the population. Its had zero effect other than hurt some feelings of those that feel superior.

If they can get this new technology as fast as the other Ravins I’ll prolly buy one. I love my Ravin and so does everyone else I know that owns one. I also love my compound and my rifle. Lol. But I don’t like my muzzleloader should have left them in the 1800’s.

I think they have at least one big disadvantage compared to bows. It takes longer to get it cocked and ready to fire again if you screw the first shot up. Especially while up a tree in a tiny stand and the deer is still standing there. Don't ask me how I know this.

Also more bulky. Plus you almost need a rail to support it. I mix it up on what I take. Depends what hits me that day.
