Thanks Tom! glad to be back, but can't wait for my next adventure into the deep woods. This time I'm leaving the kayak at home and stuffing my gear "a whole lot less this trip" into my favorite backpack and hit the trails hiking. This time Frank walks instead of riding.I'm glad you're back, I've been waiting for your latest pictures. I sure enjoy your and Frank's adventures.
Thanks EC! You're very welcome. Your guess about the ascendants are spot on, but I doubt that anyone cares, because it is in an area that is so inaccessible that I bet know one has been there in the last hundred years or more. The plots with just a stone for a marker, has to be some of the first early settlers to venture into Ky. Just like the ancient old growth oak tree next to the Cemetery, I bet it's been there since the days before Daniel Boone hiked this area.Wonderful pictures! Thanks so much for sharing those! The 'forgotten' cemetery is interesting too. Especially how long ago some of those folks were born. I'm wondering if any of the ascendants even know about it, are still in the area or even care?
I'm gonna Goggle and see if a can find me a Coonskin cap, just like Daniel Boone wore for my next adventure...![]()
LOL! I used to see these cheap ones sold at little tacky tourist souvenir shops all over KY and TN. Never saw a dog size one. LOL
