Man dies from treestand collapse

Saw this morning on the news where a 94 year old man from Scott county Indiana died from the fall when his home made tree stand collapsed under him. Needless to say, he was not wearing any type of safety harness.

Check those stands each season before getting in to them and don’t forget that harness.

My dad is 73 and had to put in normal steps (for a backyard deck) for the shooting house. 94 yo in a tree is amazing.

No I’m not that cold hearted. I hate that the man died. Hate for anyone to die accidentally.

I doubt he drove the nails himself though. Also seriously doubt he was shooting a 45-70.
