15 years and 4 months ago i held a small boy in the hospital one night, my oldest step child’s first child.
He was also, my first grandson. The bond was instant, from day one.
He shadowed me as soon as he could motor under his own power.
When just a toddler, he walked the 30 target 3-d archery course, watching in amazement as we shot the course. I look over once and he had picked up a stick, and was gun barreling a hog target.
First chance i got a longbow purchase was made, midget size. By age 2, he could draw an arrow from the quiver, nock it, and shoot with accuracy, tottally unaided.
About this time he started shooting a .22 rifle ( cricket)
At age 5 he was shooting an AR15, at age 6, he harvested his first deer.
After telechecking his 4 th deer in 2022, telecheck results showed he had 14 deer under his belt at age 14.
As i sit writing this, he is in the barn loft glassing our food plot, after having set 4 trail cams today.
I have no children of my own, so i just made him mine.

Recurve, longbow, or compound, doesnt matter, he is a force to contend with.
