I put corn out for 5 years and have not had the opportunity to kill a decent buck off the feeders. brings in the does and small bucks but not the nice ones.
I place shelled corn several years now after Deer season. I like to watch them as well as supply a little supplemental food for them during the winter months. These past few years, I've had some really nice Bucks come-up to eat. The only problem with this winter feeding is they become somewhat tame, and look forward to the shelled corn in the mornings & evenings.

You are apparently in a area that has a lot more bucks than I. I have a camera on my feeder and have not had a 110 buck since before the gun season.

I’m adding another acre of food plots to my farm this year. I’m surrounded by woods, no agriculture. I like putting out ear corn to check the deer inventory. I run a lot of cameras. I can tell you, not all bucks come to the corn.

Yea waisting money like they do looking for pot with choppers
LOL, gotta get those Army Reserve chopper pilots some stick hours to stay current on their ratings. I know that's how a lot of guys that fly Blackhawks spend their summers up in Martin County. DEA does the work, Uncle Sam provides the rides.

With the leaves off, corn piles would stick out like a sore thumb. Like shooting off fireworks, can’t hide it!

Feeding of Wildlife

From March 1 through July 31, it is illegal to feed wildlife with grain, seed or manufactured animal feed outside the curtilage of the home (the area immediately surrounding a home or group of homes). This regulation does not apply to normal agricultural practices or food plots, or municipal areas not open to legal hunting or trapping.

UPDATE: The language the KDFWR released banning salt and minerals is an error they are in the process of correcting. The no bait period for corn and food items will be March 1 - July 31 but the ban during that period will not include salt and minerals.

Salt and minerals will only be banned in the 5 county CWD surveillance zone. Those counties are Hickman, Fulton, Marshall, Calloway, and Graves counties.

This information came from a discussion on Dale Weddles Big Bucks in Ky Facebook page. That is the latest information I have seen.

I have no idea why the information has not been updated on the F and W website.

In only CWD counties, or all counties?
