Insurance wanted 40 bucks per gun, safe paid for the first year, stuck 2 ammo safes on either side and it fit perfectly, but all the clutter on top is a bonus.
Insurance companies are all "Take In" and no "Pay Out."
I have very little insurance on anything and just hope for the best.
Barns, Tractors and Equipment are all non insured, BUT I just can't afford it....I do NOT have the money to Pay it.
My late Dad was just the opposite...had his cows insured and everything. The agent really sucked up to him.
Seems like a new one stopped every week or two like DamSharks.
Maybe it is best if you don't even own anything, get on the "Draw" and live off the government. I see folks like that buzzing up and down the road every day while I am out in the Mud and Cold working.
How about it @bigbonner ? I say you are about the same.

I'm about to need another safe now that my kids are starting to get guns of their own. Last one I got was at Buds when it was still in Paris. Anybody have recommendations on where to find a decent deal on one. Looking for about a 32 gun safe size.
If you can wait till Black Friday time of the year you can find really good deals at TSC, Rural King, Academy and the likes. They aren’t the greatest safes in the world but they will keep most people honest and keep your things protected. If you want a safe that does what it advertises you will pay for it. Just depends on what you want.

Next thing is to bolt it down to the floor with some good sized hardened nuts and bolts with washers. I drilled into my basement ceiling and attached mine with some heavy duty grade 8 bolts through a 2x6 backer up in the joists. The thieving druggie scum will rock it over trying to break in and damage the goods. They can also be wheeled out on a good dolly by a couple dedicated tweakers.
I never thought about bolting it down. I think mine is too heavy to move anyway. Weighs over 1000 lbs and is huge. It took 5 guys to get it in.

You always need to buy 3 times the size you can afford, dang ar15s take up 2 places by themselves.
I have so much other crap in mine you have to move everything just to get to one.
Yea when I bought mine it was the only one I could find, except some really smaller ones. I thought it was bigger than what I needed but now I could use one a bit bigger lol.
