Hello all,
My brother has a brand spanking new mossberg semi auto 930 turkey edition that will not cycle shells. Any suggestions to remedy the problem would be greatly appreciated. The gun has been cleaned and oiled multiple times to try and fix the issue but with no success. And has had about a box of high brass through it.

Here is another problem area on the 930...but at the end of the day some of the 930s will run, some don't. ( I did not make that up. Jerry Miculek himself will tell you that)

I used to run a shop, and I had one out of 6 that would run like they should. I consider all Mossberg Auto shotguns not worth the effort, when there are too many guns out there, that run like a champ. out of the gate.

Can you provide more info, like at what point in the cycle is it failing: extract the fired round, ejecting the fired round, feeding a new round? In autos, most of the time your issue is related to the gas system- port clogged with carbon, piston has too much carbon and is dragging in the gas cylinder reducing the piston speed enough that it will no longer cycle correctly or in bad cases, move at all, dented gas cylinder tube etc. If you can load it manually (action opens and closes) I would be looking at carbon issues first.

Mossberg customer service is good. I sent my 935 back when I bought it at whittakers. Wouldn’t eject 3.5”. They fixed it and been flawless since. Also broke the back sight off and they sent me one.
My issue was where the barrel goes in the reciever. They fixed it. I found it but let them fix it.

I would check the gas holes in the barrel with a tooth pick.
Im not familure with that gun but do they have o rings in the gas system?
Might not have one.
