Back before it was a WMA. Lots of grain crops grown in the bottoms around the river. I don't think it gets a lot of hunting pressure based on the number of vehicles I see when I ride by there. I just mentioned it because it's only about an hour from where you live. I know the biggest tract is in Henry County but, I believe they have added some land in Owen County on the other side of the river.
I did some scouting up there Tuesday and it looked pretty good lot of heavy deer trails didn't quite go down towards the river that far but was looking at it on the map and I seen a spot I would like to give it a go don't know till you get out there see how they are moving. Hit me up if you ever want to go out and hunt always go to have a good reliable hunting brother.

Best advice I can give you is….
Go where the deer is and folks ain’t.
Walk farther, get up earlier and stay longer. Public ground sucks until you learn to hunt the pressure, not the deer.

I hear you on that I definitely am for a long walk as long as I know I am away from ppl that just do t give a crap. I will definitely be walking a lot further longer than I normally do on my private land I hunt just trying to give myself other options when the wind isn't in my favor on the private land I hunt.
