Great news!!
That happens more often than most would think. An unfortunate accident at the worst time, while you were out of town, that resulted in a broken hip and maybe a graft could have saved his life. As bad as those issues are, they exposed a life-threatening condition that your dad can now be treated for. Blessings come wrapped in tough packages sometimes. Well wishes to you and your family. Fight the fight.
Continuing to pray for him, you all hang in there.Doing heart Cath/stent on left side tomorrow. I spoke with surgeon. He said one of the left arteries is solid. It’s been that way for years. The other is 70-80% blocked off. He’s going to fix that one tomorrow. The right artery they fixed Thursday was 70% blocked. No damn wonder he’s cold all the time. No blood flow. I’m worried as hell about tomorrow. Surgeon threw out 30% chance of ….. due to his age and condition. Also said if not done……. Damn.
I get it. You would be amazed how many times the patient says “don’t tell anyone” about a procedure or something and then unless something goes wrong you can’t. Not sure about the whole scenario but if your dad hit them with the “I don’t want anyone to know cause they’ll be in here bothering me” then they couldn’t. If that’s not the case they should at bare minimum let you know how everything went. But it’s definitely a courtesy. Being in a hospital definitely sucks.Everything went well. He’s resting. Found out they did a skin graft on his leg. Nobody told us it was happening, nor results. I’m pissed.
