I have winter wheat an clover ready for them. Should be showing up soon. If not my dogs enjoy romping in the tall grass like antelope. Cracks me up and better than mowing.

Really like watching them hit the ww and clover. About a dozen hens (and a lone gobbler) now and 8-9 hens seem to have 3-9 poults. Its hard to get good counts in the tall grass. But im mighty satisfied.Part of me wishes i had more success drawing them in during season but im enjoying my poult nursey.

I’ve seen more poults in the last week than the last month combined. Think some rain has brought them out to some open areas.

We saw 3 hens with only 11 yesterday. One hens was size of a chicken, the other 2 hens were maybe the size of a pigeon.

We have three hens with 4,4,2 poults. They are pretty big but still staying with mom and dusting in the dirt piles left by the construction crews. Also using the the pond we dug. Ate all my seed i put out on the dam and outlying area. As a side note...we have never had this many turkeys on our property, EVER!

Cousin in central KY has two hens that each have 7-9 poults with them and he has seen them regularly since late may. They are gonna survive at this point. Nice bunch of young birds. Ive seen several videos of them.

I was feeling good about 2 hens having 7 between them early on but spotted them yesterday and only 2 poults. Also 6 adult hens with no poults. When does chicken hawk season come in?
