No way I could do that for a living.
They did, good, was busy, they were amish, i think they got in trouble someway, but not sure, everybody liked them tho, that took a deer to be processed. But i agree with you, not something i would have wanted to do, when i was able to.

I don’t know about them but I’ve known of other Amish deer processors that got in trouble for selling wild game meat

I don't remember the details. They're right up the road from me. I do plan to go to the sale. Might buy something. Been wanting a walk in cooler and it being so close sure would be nice, having to take it apart and move it and all that. It's only a couple of miles away.

Lol , one of the other i guess, i know some of them around Auburn, drive cars, and i have seen some of the girls wearing make up talking on cell phones. But most of them have phones anyway, guess they may have dropped that rule. Guess there are a lot of different types.

Not sure how I came across it but I remember reading something about it. I think they may have trouble with summer sausage etc.

I remember they said how they made it and that it took multiple lbs of meat.Guess it didn’t work out for them. Not trying to start rumors but I do remember reading about it last fall.

Here's the article discussing their issues. Apparently they couldn't get it worked out.

Deer processor Yoder's facing state charges
Thanks Copperhead, I used to duck hunt, some with Scott Macintosh He was always, ok, and just as any hunter, but i know, he is strict on game violations. I knew a lot of people that liked, taking deer there , i would say im around 20 or 25 miles from them, and i had forgotten, what even happened, thanks again for posting.,

They had the best summer sausage I've ever had but the possum police ruined that.

I guess trying to find a solution for the decline in the turkey population, or maybe putting an effort into catching poachers that leave caped out headless deer bodies laying around on our backroads and what little public land we have left that the department hasn't sold(yet) is just too much for KDFWR, so they go shut down a great processor over a roll of sausage.

Good job KDFWR.
