Rainbows

Buddy and I met at the lake this morning and done a little fishing. Took a few hours but we both managed to get out limit.

Trout fishing is so peaceful for me. I love standing in the Clinch below Norris dam with an ultralight spinning reel. Mostly rainbows but occasionally you get a really good brown.
Biggest I've caught was a 24" rainbow but I saw a 7 lb brown caught.

Where did ya fish?

I’m still convinced there’s multiple 20lb browns maybe a 25lber in the Cumberland that want to be caught.

I’ve caught some jumbos but none over 20 yet…… and that is the ultimate goal. Maybe one day

Wise reservoir also called bear Creek lake, it's here in VA about 10 minutes from where I live

I need to walk down from the dam. This was caught when I was fishing it pretty much every Saturday morning but never really went below the weir dam.
I have no doubt the Cumberland has the same. I'd like to get over there some day.

Well my buddy Johnny and I met at the lake again today and managed to get 11 more. I landed a nice one at 16 inches

Well I had the itch and had to go back again this evening and was glad I did. Added six more rainbows to the last few days tally. Two of em were pretty nice fish but I didn't measure as it was dark when I got home. Johnny added another 4 in that he caught earlier today.

In that batch of most recent ones a few look like cut-bows. Maybe, I think, I'm just curious

I know they started stocking them in the cumberland.

The stocking schedule said it was all rainbows

this is the fish in question. What is it?

Doesnt look like a rainbow. It would be so cool if they were stocking the cut's. Im just being hopeful
