had to wait for the ferry this morning. Opened at 8. Crept in to the stand. There was a good buck right under the stand. I’m already tagged out for a buck. Let him and another young buck work off. Got in the stand and texted my son telling him he should have come with me. No sooner I hit send a big doe comes running in right to me. Stopped at 15 yards and put one in her. Quickest hunt of my life. I was in the stand no less than five minutes. Praise the Lord. Time to drag her up and cut her near some of my snare sets. Fresh gut pile bait can’t be beat.

Day 3 of being sick starting to feel better but got tickets to the nutcracker with the wife tonight in Cincinnati, can't risk going the other way she's excited.
Me not so much I can think of alot of stuff I would rather do.

Neighbor’s dogs came through. I get pics of them everyday. I left a note in mailbox asking if they’d keep them up until season goes out. Left name and number. Tired of those damn dogs.

Had a doe at 30 yards at 8:30. Just horn/jerky hunting for now, freezer is full.

Wind got awful about 9:40. I got a chill I couldn’t shake. I gave up. Just sitting in the truck trying to gather my strength.

Well I’m beat. Doe I shot ran about 2/3 of the way down the hill. My intentions were to gut her up near a bunch of snare sets I have. About half way up the hill I pulled a calf muscle. She gut her there. I’m gonna be moving slow for a few days ha. Thankful for this beautiful doe. Got skunked on the snare line today. But she’ll taste much better than coyote.

Getting ready to take one of the 12 year old grandsons to the blind. Got 2 125-140 inch bucks showing up this past week on a regular basis. Hoping this cold weather will make them show themselves before dark.
