I had to look it up. I thought crow was in all year long, but I thought wrong. Crow and coons should be all year long.

Apparently my experience is a bit different from others. I’ve mostly hunted private land where you wouldn’t expect to see much but in the past year I was checked while duck hunting, fishing and just recently while helping a friend get a stand on public land making sure we didn’t have corn out. Have never actually been checked deer hunting. But have been checked on doves lots of times in the past.

Mexico's National bird years ago, or migratory bird treaties or something.
Messicans said they were gonna smoke bald eagles unless we put a season on their national bird.
Story I read somewhere, at least.
They need a migratory treaty for sure, but not on crows.

Black headed buzzards are protected by the migratory bird treaty also.

Re Crows: Had a game warden tell me once that you could shoot crows at any time if they were getting ready to depredate. He quickly added that you could just look at them and tell that they were getting ready to depredate

They will pick a dead coyote clean in a few hrs, nothing else eats them around here.
