For those of you that enjoy seafood, where do you buy it? I get it off of a guy that comes up from the gulf but he only comes up once a month. Didn’t know if there is a market anywhere around Lexington. Our Kroger stocks some stuff but not exactly what I’m looking for. I love a good blackened flounder sandwich with some royal reds as a side.

Charlie's in Lex used to have a pretty good market but we haven't been there in over 25 years. We go to Simply Seafood in Bardstown or occasionally AB Seafood in Etown if we happen to be that far West.

You got to be careful if you buy them from there, I found out of the six different varieties they carry about only one is worth a damn to eat raw this time of year. Best ones now are the little small ones from up north. I think they’re like cherrbrock or something like that starts with a C
Come on now don’t be knockin the hood salty oysters from Apalach, this time of year the water is clean and salty, makes them just so fine you’ll have to pinch yourself to make sure you aren’t dreaming

Charley’s and Lexington Seafood are still open. I haven’t been but heard The Fresh Market off Tates Creek Rd has a good selection.
