I’ve looked at this optic for a couple years and talked myself out of it so far as I’ve read some bad reviews and the fact that it’s night Vision instead of thermal, but to be realistic thermal is just not in my price range or gonna be in the foreseeable future lol
So now I see this sightmark wraith is on sale for cyber Monday at 350 dollars, which is cheap for a nighttime optic but still expensive to me lol anyone have experience with this that can tell me if this is a good 350 dollar upgrade from my spotlight, or if it’s a waste of hard earned 350 bucks lol

I've been watching some reviews on YouTube. Looks like a good bang for the buck. Like any Chinese electronics I am sure some of them will have issues and, I think the light is probably a bit of a pain to get lined up.
Taking everything into consideration I think I'm going to get one. The 2 yotes I shot during rifle season has me wanting to do some more shooting.

I think it would be better than just lights but from what I have read the factory inferred light doesn't cut it like advertised!
You could try it and worse case spend another hundred or so for a better light.

Yeah I had figured probably end up having to upgrade light and possibly get a power pack for the battery’s, I expect the cold will drain them quick

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. NV isn't near as Draining on batteries as Thermal. Maybe you could find someone that Owns one and go Look Through it some night. That's what I did and I ordered my scope the next day.
I have seen my neighbor's kid waste at least $1500 on cheap crap for $300 every time he went to a Gun show. He still doesn't have one that's "OK."
A very powerful IR emitter makes all the difference in NV.

I have one and it is great for coyote hunting. With an upgraded light, you can see 500 yards in a field with low cut grass or corn stalks. The light that comes with it sucks. I can tell you which to buy. We slayed the coyotes at night last year with it on an AR-15. It's only downfall is the screen goes white for a second when you shoot so it is hard to get off a quick second shot. Buy the good rechargeable batteries. You can get about 1.5 hrs on a charge.

Here is a pic of looking at coons 500 yards away with the upgraded light.

Here's the light to use. Mount it at the barrel, not on the scope. It white washes too much on the scope. Works great mounted under the barrel. You can use the original light mount, you just have to put in longer screws.

IR Light
The link to the light, you purchase from that site? Looks like it’s from the UK

Yeah I seen it on Amazon for 125. I’ve never seen a ir light, can you see it with the naked eye or is it actually “invisible”?
Its invisible. I'm sure if you get right in front of it you can see the lens glow red but from any distance at all you can't see it

I have never used NV but I thought it used ambient light. What is the light for?
For those cloudy, moonless nights. Additionally, it glows eyes at extreme distances so you know if you have company. It's also nice to have if your in the woods where the canopy might be blocking any light.

I use a clip on by Armasight and that same IR when needed.

$475 for the scope and upgraded light is a heck of a lot cheaper than my 50mm scope, scope mounted Predator light and Wicked Light head unit by like $300 🤷‍♂️
