Another thing that might help ,is mark your string on each side of the rail ,when you cock it ,and use the same marks each time .Some of the older ones ,don’t line up exactly,might have fixed it on the newer ones.I also took four marbles ,and a block of wood ,and made a jig ,to spin test all my arrows and bolts,you would be surprised at the inserts not true with the arrow.

Wow. Shot my practice bolt, dead nuts at 30. Put that broadhead on a new bolt. Low 5 and left 2. Shot it again, same hole. Marked it and grabbed another. Low 4, good LR. Again, same. Marked it. Grabbed another. 4” high. Repeat, same. Grabbed another. 1.5” high. Repeat, same. Marked it. Grabbed another. 2” high. Repeat, same. Marked it. Shot original, dead nuts. Moved scope 5 clicks down. Shot, 1” low. Now I have three bolts that shoot within an inch of center at 30. Need to shoot the other three to see what they do. Based on this, there’s no telling where I hit that doe. I did shoot the other two broadheads to make sure they’re good. Now I have to sharpen all three for the last few weeks. My big buck hit the corn Friday morning about an hour before daylight. This cold weather should have them wanting those carbs. Need him to make a mistake. I’m off Friday through Jan 2.

I had a round with my Xbow like that. Getting real inconsistent groups. Changed from oiling my rails to wax. Tried to get each shot lubed as close as I could to each other. Really helped my groups. Not a lot of experience with xbows as I mostly bow hunt. Just thought I’d throw that out there

It ain’t the bow. Same bolt shoots identical. Damn bolts inconsistent. Don’t recall who, but somebody told me that before with commercial bolts. Insane.
