Question on the mulberries, being from northern Ohio I have yet to run across a mulberry tree that I was aware of but I have ordered mulberries by the pound off the internet, mix them with gogi berries and they make a great snack, do any of you guys that have mulberry trees harvest them,dry them and eat them?

Where do mulberry trees usually grow? Or just any random place.

In east ky usually find them from bottom to about halfway up the mountain.

You're more likely to kill a prego or nursing momma in the fall season.

They hit em here before they turn ripe. Those look like they're starting to turn.

I inherited a 16 ga last year that I've been dying to get out in the field. Anyone have a suggestion on 16 ga loads to use for squirrel?
In 50 years + of hunting Squirrels, I harvested only one female (Sow) , in the fall season, that was pregnant.

Have hunted squirrels for 62 years and have never shot a squirrel out of a mulberry tree.
We didn't used to have a spring squirrel season. It didn't become state wide until 1999. I am 67 and never hunted the mulberry trees until they started the spring season.

I just got in from work and gotta go finish spraying a lil piece, and I'm going to check that mulberry tree to see if they're turning yet
