When I was a teenager in the 80's and groundhogs we're plenty. My girlfriend's uncle was a big coon hunter. He would have between 4 to 8 hounds at any one time. Those dogs were fed though the warm months with my groundhog kills.
Boiled them in one of those old cast iron wash kettle's with potatoes and carrots. Those dogs ate good and I must say it smelled pretty good cooking.
I've only been out a few times in the last month or so and have picked some up here and there. Got out this evening for 4:30 to 6:30 and had a good time. I went 3 for 4 with the Contender in 6mm PPC topped with a 10x Burris.
Two shots at 115 yds one hit one miss. One shot at 130 yds and one shot at 170 yds. My furthest handgunl kill to date.
