Biggest buck I have ever had the opportunity at with my bow. I was a beginner then. I was sitting on the roof of a box blind probably 35 foot off the ground. He came in and I judged him at around 30 yards but he was about 20. Put my 20 yard pin on top of his back thinking it would drop in and hit him good. I hit directly where I was aimin. Skipped the arrow right off his back. I still have bad thoughts about it and it was 20 years ago.

Had an awesome property I bought when I first got married. 160 acres with new home. Couldnt really afford it but knew I was getting a great deal so I found a way. Ended up selling it after 2 years and made a good profit. But still wish I'd kept it. It would bring 3 times what I gave for it now. I tell my wife were going to own it again someday.

Theres things that burned me up in the past sure. I wouldnt say i am very emotional about them now.
A friend said i could have a horse of his when he died, one i always liked. Sadly he passed away but i felt like she wasnt right for me--too green. She was ridden once in her whole life 5 years prior. I passed her up and watched her as She loaded on a trailer like a seasoned veteran with no butt bar in a dark little two horse trailer. she stood there while she waited for a gelding to load who was rearing and bolting an throwing a fit. She stood patient the whole time. They drove off and she got ridden the next day for an hour and a half and 'did great' then allegedly went to some little girl.
I kicked myself a bit. But its alright maybe the little girl needed her more than i did.
I pitched a skipjack head on at 8/0 into the ohio once and got a monster hit in 5 minutes. Got so excited i cranked the thing too soon and sat with an empty line for the next two hours. But i ended up landing a nice little blue cat a few months later. Thrill of a liftetime.
Only other time was when i didnt tell someone how i felt and was really rather harsh.. but theyre doing fine and i learned a lesson about honesty and being kind and sometimes you cant learn it any other way.
Why would you want a dead horse?

Mine was right after high school late 70s, always went to the World 600 in Charlotte. They announced the new condos going up in turn 1. $225k. I take to my dad, wanting him to cosign, he said no it was the worst investment I could make. I told him it'd be worth over a million in 10 yrs. He laughed shook his head and said NO! Well before he died, we were watching a Charlotte race on TV and they talked about someone selling one of the condos for over $1.5M. He looked at me and said oops! Last I heard one sold for $2M. Rental for just the WOO weekends, NASCAR and NHRA brings in over $350k. Not to mention all the other possibilities.

When looking for the farm here, found a really nice place w/80 acres and 2 large ponds. Realtor never presented our offer to the owner cause she had a friend that wanted it. I fired her, but by the time I found that out, the place was under contract.

Another piece we saw in Robertson County was awesome but the owner had a handshake agreement with a guy from Montana already. So we didn't lose that one, but the view was crazy good!

fish stories...
One big flathead hooked on a 7" bluegill, moved my boat around and pulled us towards a big logjam. Finally I had to lock down the drag to keep him out of the logs but he straightened a 12/0 mustad 34009 hook..
A big flathead on a limbline. #42 braid(big stuff) with a 14/0 hook and a 12" redhorse sucker for bait. Tied to a willow about as big around as my wrist. Hung over a big undercut bank.. We were fishing about 100' up the bank and I could hear the tree thrashing, hitting the water.. When we finally got in the boat and got down there he had pulled the tree underwater and busted it off..
Ive been a diehard catfisherman for many years and caught a lot of big fish. I dont want to hazard a guess at their size. Id sound like a fool if I did..

Lots of stuff for me but one more important would have to be my late mother’s fire bird trans am. I was about 14 at the time. Car was in good shape but had a broken off spark plug so it had been parked for several years, she asked me if I had any interest in it that she would keep it despite us needing the money. I said hell no and help the guys load it on a trailer. A lot of memories there I wish I could have hands on now but oh well.

3 bucks. 1st was I was probably 16. Jumped a good chocolate rack 10pt 4 yr old 135” never shot because he never went fully broadside but I could’ve killed him all day.
Second was a 155” 14pt with a doe. I could’ve shot but wasn’t prepared and messed up my chance.
Third was a 5+ yr old 10 with my bow I shot over his back.

Bass wise was a 10+ largemouth I hooked at chick on a crank bait. She took me straight into a lay down and broke me off. I should’ve locked my thumb on the spool and prayed the line didn’t break to keep her out of the laydown

Where were you fishing when you hooked the 10lb bass?

Hoooo BOY!!

Yep .... a certain drunk high school cheerleader that really needed taken advantage of but I was too young and stupid.

Think about that every so often and kick myself in the butt .... repeatedly .... hard!!

Hmmmm .... maybe I should look her up .... she was a year older than me .... so that would make her about 80 .... on second thought .... I'll just keep kickin' my butt. 😛
Good thing you didn’t because that’s called rape.
