I saw this yesterday between Columbia and Campbellsville and thought it looked pretty cool. I saw there is a sign in the Yard advertising who ever did the mowing.

What kinda wood I got here @barney ,.....or anyone else that wants to take a swing. I was in north Georgia for a few days and they had a little pile set out for firewood. I brought a few pieces back for some project stock since it already had some straight edges on it and was dried out. My guess is some of it is oak? The lines appear to be where at one time it was stored on something rusty. Anyway....here ya go

Anybody know what kind of bug this is? It looks like a cross between a scorpion and a tick. Its about the same size as tick but with pinchers. Got some freaky stuff in my bathroom.

The bottom one looks to be red oak the other 2 are probably beech or gum.
