He had several breeds but these two were a cross breed called a July. Picture a greyhound with a hound dog head on it. He gave $2000 each back in 1982. They were hard to train because they could outrun the older smarter dogs. Watch them run a doe to death across a big flat field one afternoon.
Those are foxhounds.

Lol, I’m definitely not a dog guy. I just know I worked my ass off all day and chased those dogs at night. Man, I loved a rainy day back then
My FIL had a couple he hunted with. Been a long time, I had to look em up.

Coyotes mate for life. I’ve killed six pairs in my life, four on same day two separate occasions. One on kiyi call and one while checking out mate. They will generally hang around area.

Killed many more singles or singles out of groups. I really believe that coyotes pack up even though biologists say otherwise. We get a group come through here about once a month and I think they eat until prey is gone. When we get paired up coyotes they seem to hang around and easier to hunt/pattern.
