Cave Run Lake may offer opportunities.

The Ohio River will produce as well if you can pattern them. Sleep in and hunt the rivers later in the day The last hour of daylight can be good.

Your best bet is a 5 hour jaunt outta EKY and towards the Mississippi Flyway.

As a wise man once said, “Remember, it’s duck hunting in Kentucky. You’re either mildly retarded or a glutton for punishment.”

If ya have a boat get out on Cave Run on it's south end. Remember ya can't shoot geese there (why I have no idea, gotta be some Karen rule) but I have found birds down there. But ya gotta scout em. That quote "Remember, it’s duck hunting in Kentucky. You’re either mildly retarded or a glutton for punishment." is way true in EKY.

I usually start way back on public ground on foot, set up, call, shoot what’s unlucky, then zig zag my way back and jump shoot every 1/4 acre overgrown puddle or deep spot in a creek I can along the way.

At least thataway, I get cardio while being frustrated that I’m dumb enough to be hunting waterfowl in KY. Sometimes I limit out at the first hole and consider inviting someone to join me, then I’ll do the full circuit, hit 14-15 holes, see nothing but hoods and rethink trying to drag some other sorry sucker along.
