Elm is an aggravating wood to split. Very fibrous and stringy. Even in my logsplitter it’s a pain

I had to take work truck to tire shop for 4 new tires. My appointment was at 8. At 9:30 I’m thinking, they said they had them in stock… they didn’t say where. Sure enough at 10:20 I see a tire truck pull up out front.

I’ve watched customers without appointments come and go all morning. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed.

On the upside. Kenergy had a customer appreciation day, I got free BBQ lunch, chicken feed bucket and light bulbs. May or may not have checked out the blinds on sale at rural king.

I cleaned up the garden. Pulled a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes and a few straggling peppers. I'll till it over in the next day or three.

This one was growing in an old fence row within 5 feet of a probably 20” or likely more diameter older than dirt cedar tree. There’s another probably 12” cherry on the opposite side of the cedar thats going next. I’m leaving the old cedar. I’ve got some big old black locusts to cut too and I’ve read that’s the creme de la creme of firewood.

Me personally I’ve been sitting behind computer screens letting the computer hold the boat in place while my deckhands rigged cargo and hooked up bulk hoses. To be fair to pump the bulk I did have to sit up in the chair and use a penicile eraser to push buttons to open and close valves. It about wore me slam out.

Overslept after being up half the night with insomnia. Fixed breakfast burritos for two. Checked to see what Buffalo Trace had in the gift shop today & broke a few speed laws heading to Frankfort. Fought the absolutely INSANE crowds at BT to get my hubby a bottle of the EH Taylor he's been wanting to try for months. (Hint: Do NOT go on a Friday morning, ya'll. It's not worth it!!!) Then on to yet another doctor appointment - I'm getting tired of those! Decided to reward myself with a trip to the Frankfort Peddler's Mall. I didn't find anything I wanted but if anyone is looking for one of the extra large Senior corn stick pans, there's a Wagner on the wall just inside the front door at a decent price. Had planned to go by the flea market in L'burg on the way home but my car started acting up on the interstate between the two Frankfort exits - gosh awful "flapping/snapping" sound that started & stopped all the way home. Just got the danged thing home from the shop two nights ago because it was overheating... I'm scared of what this latest issue might be!!! Anyway.... made it home, fixed lunch for two & am taking a break for another 10 minutes or so before getting my butt in gear on stuff here at the house.

Ran wide open at work all morning. Had a headache and locked my office door, shut out the light and slept for my lunch break. Been back at it headache free since.

I have had a sinus headache most of the day. Just took a very hot shower an fixed me a double shot of carmel Vodka an apple cider drink to sip on.

Just got back from Germany a few days ago to see my food plots was a complete failure because of the drought. Put out 100 lbs of cereal rye today to try to salvage a complete loss. Hope it rains tonight, tomorrow, and Monday.
