If we had another civil, the north against the south, what would you be, a Yankee or a Rebel?
I would definitely be a Reb. :D:D:D

I think there is an online quiz about that. I was born in WI lived in 20 other states and 2 countries before I was 20, Airforce kid.. Then moved to GA and lived there for over 30 years , then 3.5 years in NH for work , and now KY is home. I have no allegiance to either.. lol

It wouldn’t be north vs south. It will be coastal areas vs inland states. IMHO. It will be blue coats vs red coats though. Sooner or later it will happen if someone can’t bring our country together and stop the politicians from dividing this nation. We have lost the common ground that once united us...

If it’s that clear cut and I pray it never comes to that again. I was born and raised in South Alabama. Kin folks fought for the CSA I would fight for the south.

@mac0492 im just curious as to why you say I’d be inland states against costal states?
I personally think it’d be more along the lines of Muslim vs Christian along with the far left vs far right. I would just hope if something like that happened there’d be enough middle of the road left, right, independent and folks who claim no religious affiliation to keep the extremes from taking over and restoring our country.

This Civil War is going to be Socialist/Conservative Democrat/Republican. It will be your neighbor not North South. You'll be walking down the street and get shot by Antifa or a Waters soldier, crazed Democrat. Its going to be difficult to know your enemy.

We already are in a civil war. NOT a SHOOTING WAR, but it is a war.

Agreed. But at some point there will be another shot heard round the world. The divisiveness in this country is palpable and extreme. It's to the point that nobody with a D or R beside their name carriers any credibility to the other side, regardless of what is coming out of their mouth. The way things are now, I only see the division ending through war. Either an international conflict similar in scale to WWII where we have to come together or be overrun, or a civil war where the country is torn apart at the seams. That is worst case scenario as there will be no battle lines, just neighbor vs neighbor based on political ideology. Hope I'm wrong and we can find another way to come together, but God help us if we cant.

The only reason I say that is it appears that the coastal states are where the far left gravitates toward. Of course it’s not absolute by any means. Maybe it would have been better to word it as the far west coast and north eastern states as well as some around the Great Lakes. There just seems to be a clear divide to me. I don’t think it will be Muslim vs Christian though. I think it will be based on beliefs such as abortion, right to bear arms, right to work, immigration, homosexuality, MAGA, etc... There are plenty of people who call themselves Christians who fall on both sides of these issues. Not to say that all of these are biblical issues, they are not. I just see that the word Christian does not describe the same group of people in this country as it did 40 years ago or even in the first century. I pray Christ comes again before it gets much worse and that all will come to repent, obey the gospel and remain faithful until that time or until death.

I had never thought of it that way, which is why I asked for clarification. You make a good point though. And the rest of your post gives much to think about
