Who's still holding a buck ticket?

Must be December where I hunt. Best buck I’ve had on cam this year showed up last night. If the trend is like the last 5 seasons there will be a lot of fresh sign over the next two weeks. I’m still gonna give it a bit of a break as I’m tired and I have meat in the freezer. All I can figure is young does come in estrous late where I hunt?

My guess is pressure. The way I understand, you have a hard time getting in unnoticed. Lay out a couple weeks and they get comfortable again.

I always feel like tomorrow is the day. Or else I wouldn’t go. But for some reason I feel like tomorrow is going to be special. Bucks have been showing up on camera in day light. New bucks showing up. A few good ones made it through gun season. Put a lot of work in this week on repositioning some stands and I feel like it might pay off for me or little bro. We’re both hunting all day. Ready to not have a buck tag for once.

I’ve actually contemplated a set of zip lines from one ridge to another! Lol

Maybe but we’re mostly weekend warriors. Could be true from the surrounding properties. Not sure how many of them hunt after gun season? I hunted the day before Thanksgiving and the Saturday after and took 3 right where I got the pic seems like if it were pressure from us he wouldn’t be there but who knows? We already hold off until October. You think if we held off until late October/November there’d be more? Especially in the way of bucks? I’ve always thought they’ve had us pegged.

I think it will be a good weekend too. At least for sightings. I’m taking off and gonna let things settle a bit. Good luck. May just get a good one in range.

Hit the food sources. Sunday, I finally connected with one of my target Bucks. He didn’t have any fat reserves left, must have been rutting hard over this past month. So, concentrate on the food. Good Luck.
