Winner venison recipe, wife approved(that rarely happens)

Cooked a bottom round in crock pot today. Added a cup of water. Sprinkled a packet of aujus gravy mix, and packet of ranch dressing all over. Put a 1/2 cup of butter on top of it. Added about 10 pepperocinis. Cooked on low for 10 hours or so. Shredded it after about 8 hours. Put on bun with provolone. Very, very good. The wife approved, and she doesn't normally like venison. Easy, delicious. bingo.

I used to take a roast and put on the bottom of the crock pot. Then cut up onions, carrots and potatoes and put in there. Then a packet of ranch dressing mix on top and two packs of brown gravy mix. Then a generous amount of butter on top of everything else. I think it’s called Mississippi pot roast and man is it good.

I’ve been eating it all week for lunch. Mine started with a deer neck roast, after the meat broke down, I deboned and added the onion, carrots, celery & potatoes. Excellent roast!

Yes. Exactly how I said in original post. Water, ranch packet, aujus packet, half stick butter pepperocinis. 8-9 hours on low in crock pot. It would be good with taters and carrots, but you'd need some beef broth or something for more liquid.

I think I'm the only person on the planet who can't stand roasts fixed that way. Something about the flavors just doesn't mesh good for me.
