I like blends too but I don’t mix brassicas and grains. I usually do a Perennial clover blend on half my plots with brassicas and the other half I do annual clover blend with grains. I did try something different this year with my early beans, I planted annual clover blend with chicory and light sunflowers with them. Seems to have worked really well. Deer are in my beans but the clover gave them something else to eat and they did make pods. This fall they’ll eat the pods and the clover will be there til late season. Got my first mix of grains on the other half of the plot.
